EYFS

Our Vision

We welcome you to our Early Years Foundation Stage.  Here at Horndale we pride ourselves on ensuring the best possible start for all of our Reception children as we know a child’s development at this crucial stage has a fundamental impact on their happiness, school journey and shapes the young person they will become.

At Horndale, in the Early Years Foundation Stage, the staff work together towards a shared vision of a ‘Sharing, Caring Partnership.’

In the Early Years at Horndale we want children to be happy, confident and independent with a love for learning. We believe in providing a friendly and caring environment in which all children feel safe and valued.

We believe that children should have the opportunity to learn through play.  Our environment and resources enhance children’s experiences and support children to be fully engaged in purposeful play of their own choice and interest.

Our dedicated team of experienced Early Years practitioners are key in supporting the children, ensuring they feel confident, independent and resilient with their learning. We aim to provide high quality interactions and be role models for learning.
