Welcome to
Horndale County Infant & Nursery School
Welcome to Horndale Infant & Nursery School. At Horndale, we aim to provide a happy, friendly and caring environment where children can feel secure and valued.
Children are encouraged to develop in an atmosphere which promotes learning and encourages all pupils to achieve their full potential.
We enjoy working closely with parents/carers and we welcome your support. Our mission statement 'working together....a caring, sharing partnership' drives everything we do.
I am very proud of the hard work and contributions of both staff and pupils and whether you are a new parent, or a returning parent, we look forward to welcoming you on our journey together. I look forward to meeting you and beginning your child's Horndale journey together. If you have any questions please feel free to come and visit us.
Kind regards
Craig Brown, Headteacher

This afternoon at 3.15 p.m. you are invited to our school hall to take part in a 15 minute workshop about Rail Safety, which ties in with our trip to Saltburn tomorrow! (Let's hope the forecast for tomorrow is better than today!) You can bring your child/ren with you.
Parents and Carers who stay for the session will be entered into a raffle to win family rail tickets and goodie bags!
Jess Young and Felicity Machnicki Bishop Line Community Rail Partnershiprship will lead a short presentation to parents to raise awareness of some of the trespass issues at Newton Aycliffe Station.
We will also have Martin Rome, Mobile Operations Manager, from Network Rail and Sergeant Graham Marshall-Batey from British Transport Police. They will be able to speak to parents about how incidents and concerns can be reported.
The most important person we would like to see there is you! Hopefully you can spare the time.
See you this afternoon. ... See MoreSee Less
